This Privacy Policy describes how Trapezoid Labs LLC ("Trapezoid Labs," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit trapezoidlabs.com (the "Site") or otherwise interact with us. By using the Site or submitting information through it, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you give us, including your first and last name, email address, company name, title or role, the contents of your message, and your marketing preferences.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs technical information such as your IP address, user-agent string, request paths, and timestamps. We use this information for security, abuse prevention, and basic operational diagnostics. We do not run third-party advertising or behavioral analytics on the Site.

Cookies. The Site uses only the cookies required to operate the form (a Django session cookie and a CSRF token cookie). We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

Respond to your inquiry and provide the services you request;
Maintain a record of our communications and any resulting engagement;
Operate, secure, and improve the Site;
Send you occasional updates about our services and industry insights, but only if you have opted in to receive them; and
Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws.

3. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as follows:

Service providers. We use a small number of vendors to host the Site, send transactional email, and host our internal customer-relationship infrastructure. These vendors process information on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain contact-form submissions and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, manage any resulting engagement, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. When we no longer need the information, we delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion at any time as described below.

5. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), restricted internal network access, and least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee the security of information you transmit to us.

6. Your Choices and Rights

Marketing. If you opted in to receive updates from us, you can opt out at any time by replying to any such email or by emailing us at the address below. We will continue to send you communications related to an active engagement or inquiry.

Access, correction, and deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to receive a copy in a portable format, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request before acting on it and will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

California residents. California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the rights described above and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising them. We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and have not done so in the preceding twelve months.

EEA, UK, and Swiss residents. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases for processing are: your consent (for marketing emails), the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps you request (responding to your inquiry), and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving our business. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7. International Transfers

We are based in the United States and process information in the United States. If you submit information from outside the United States, you understand that it will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection rules than your country.

8. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through a prominent notice on the Site or, where appropriate, by email.
